Welcome to the Horse Trials Support Group

Founded in 1978 for private supporters committed to aiding and funding training and development of talented riders for britain's three-day event teams.

Eventing (Horse Trials) is the complete test of the all-round horse and rider. It is a tough and demanding sport – increasingly popular with competitors and spectators alike – in which British competitors are among the best in the world.

The sport is also costly and time-consuming and there are many talented riders, with good horses, who simply do not have the resources to carry on right to the top. These are the riders whom the HTSG targets for assistance.

From membership income, the HTSG is able to:
- Finance training courses for riders (Junior, Young Rider and Pony Teams) identified by the Selection Committee to have above-average potential

- Provide funding support for the Young Rider, Junior and Pony Teams in the build-up to their annual international championships

- Provide prize money for the best British 25 year old and under riders at selected competitions in the UK.

- This year we are delighted to have added three bursaries of £500 to a member of the Pony, Junior and Young Rider Squads and a further £250.00 each if they make a squad the following season.
