Laura Collett
Laura Collett is a professional event rider, based at Penhill Farm, in Salperton where she has access to some fantastic facilities in which to produce and train event horses. In her career thus far Laura has achieved many excellent results and bounced back from some difficult moments.

- 2007 won her Advanced debut with Fernhill Sox and went on to win Team and Individual Gold at the Junior Europeans on Rayef
- 2008 won the Under 21 National Championships and was the sole double clear at the World Cup final both on Fernhill Sox
- 2009 won Team and Individual Gold at the Young Rider European Championships on Rayef
- 2010 won Team Gold at the Young Rider European Championships on Fernhill Cristal, she also completed her first CCI**** at Burghley on Ginger May Killinghurst, she also won the Under 21 National Championships on Noble Bestman.
- 2011 made her Badminton CCI**** debut with Rayef where they performed beyond expectations and finished up in 8th place.
2013 was a year to forget, Laura had a very bad fall in July which left her in a coma for week, she fractured her shoulder, punctured a lung, lacerated her liver, broke 2 ribs and lost permanently lost the sight in her left eye. She entered her first event 7 weeks after the fall and won the Open Intermediate Class. Laura continues to show the commitment and hard work that is required to ride and win at the highest level.
Laura finished her 2015 season by winning the 7yo World Championships "FEI World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses" on Mr Bass, where she achieved a Bronze medal on Pamero 4 in 2014. This year also saw Laura join the 2015 Senior Team GBR Eventing squad at FEI European Eventing Championships at Blair Castle on Grand Manoeuvre where she was placed 13th Individually.
2016 was a good year with both Grand Manoeuvre & Pamero 4 as nominated entries for Rio Olympics 2016. Mr Bass was 5th at Boekelo CCI*** & finished on his dressage score in all 5 of his 3* events in 2016. Pamero 4 was 5th Millstreet CIC*** & 8th Blenheim 8/9yo CIC***, Cooley Again had a great year 9th CCI** Tattersalls, Team 1st and 13th individually at Strzegom CIC*** FEI Team GB Nations Cup & Team 2nd and 12th individually at Waregem CIC*** FEI Team GB Nations Cup.
In 2017 Mr Bass gave Laura her first 3* WIN at Ballindenisk CIC***, he then followed with another 3* WIN at Burgham CIC***. He ended the year with a 2nd at Blenheim CCI***. He also finished the year as No.1 on the Holsteiner event horse studbook rankings. Cooley Again was 3rd at Millstreet CIC**, 4th at Burgham CIC**, 8th at Ballendenisk CIC*** and 10th at Tattersalls CCI***.
For 2018 Laura was aiming to take Mr Bass to Badminton but due to poor Spring weather he went to Luhmuhlen for his first CCI**** and finished an amazing 2nd. Laura finished in overall second place in the Event Rider Masters series and to round out a very busy season she finished first and third in the prestigious CIC3* for eight- and nine-year-old horses at the Ssangyong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials
